HOW TO APPLY
You can put your child’s name on the application list when they are 18 months old. Please ring/ email the school to book a place on one of our monthly tours, if you like what you have seen, you can collect an application form.
We offer places from 2.6 to 4 years old. Three year old’s are eligible for a 15 or 30 hour place the term after their third Birthday. Two year old’s are eligible for a 15 hour place the term after their second Birthday. Due to the challenging nature of our nursery learning environment and garden two year old’s will be offered a place at the Headteacher’s discretion once the child is two and a half years old. If there are not enough places for all the children who would like to attend we allocate places in this order:
1. Looked After Children
2. Children with exceptional medical or social need for a place at this school
3. Children with brothers or sisters already attending
4. Children for whom this is the nearest community school
5. Children who live nearest to the school
Tours for New Parents
Tours last approximately 45 minutes. Please email or phone the school to book a place on the tour. The Head of school will answer any questions you have after the tour and give you an application form should you wish to apply for a place at Tachbrook nursery school.

30 HOUR PLACES FOR 3 YEAR OLDS (Full time: Monday-Friday 9.00-3.45)
To qualify for a 30 hour full time place you will need to check your eligibility here or see ‘Will I Qualify for 30 hours free childcare’ form below. When you have received your 30 hour eligibility code you will need to give this code to the school.
15 HOUR PLACES FOR 3 YEAR OLDS
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare. We offer the 15 hours per week, either five mornings or five afternoons.
Morning places 9:00- 12:00pm
Afternoon places 12:45 -3:45pm
15 HOUR PLACES FOR 2 YEAR OLDS
We offer 2 year old places for children from 2.6 years old, 15 hours a week, either five mornings or five afternoons a week. Due to the challenging nature of the nursery environment and garden the nursery may not be suitable for all 2.6 year old’s and places are offered at the Headteacher’s discretion.
To qualify for a 15 hour two year old place you will need to check your eligibility here. If you are eligible you can apply using the ‘Parent Portal’ link here.
If your child is not eligible you can pay for a place. Please see ‘Paid for Places’ information (below).
Morning places 9.00-12.00pm
Afternoon places 12.45-3.45pm
For all Government 15 and 30 hour places your child will be entitled to a place the term after they are 2/3 years old

We have a number of paid for places for children from 2.6 years old. We also have a small number of paid for places for 3 year old children who may not qualify for the 30 hour free government place.
